Hangardz begins its new closet theater series with ‘Play’ by Istanbul-based writer Arman Vartanyan, whose plays have never been staged in Türkiye before.
Hangardz begins its new reading theater series with ‘Play’ by Istanbul-based writer Arman Vartanyan, whose play ‘Play’ is an ironic look at the futility of the search for justice in Türkiye and the immutability of selfishness. The artist Kınarig, who claims to have come from heaven, and the scientist Yeğişe, who claims to have returned from hell, meet in the shop of tailor Vartan to ask for an account of the injustices they have suffered on earth.
We would like to thank the Yesayan Association and the Çıplak Ayaklar Troupe for their support.
